Nonlinear Modelling and Simulation of Industrial Wet Grinding Process
نویسندگان
چکیده
The multiple linear models based piece-wise linearization approach is used to obtain control-oriented non-linear model of the non-linear multivariable wet grinding process of an industrial lead-zinc ore beneficiation plant. The overall process outputs are computed as a weighted sum of outputs from multiple models identified at several operating zones. The output weights of linear models are computed by a pseudo fuzzy supervisor. The linear models are identified using a transfer matrix identification technique using standard TF structures, and genetic algorithm based constrained optimisation formulation for the parameter estimation. A rigorous, plant validated model based wet grinding process simulator is used to obtain the identification and validation data for the proposed approach. Copyright © 2005 IFAC

Neural modelling, control and optimisation of an industrial grinding process
This paper describes the development of neural model-based control strategies for the optimisation of an industrial aluminium substrate disk grinding process. The grindstone removal rate varies considerably over a stone life and is a highly nonlinear function of process variables. Using historical grindstone performance data, a NARX-based neural network model is developed. This model is then us...

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) based modeling techniques applied to the industrial grinding operation of a lead-zinc ore-beneficiation plant to predict the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the circuit. As system identification of the non-linear process is a must in advanced control, AI based techniques are applied to predict the KPIs within some acceptable limits. The nonparametric model...
متن کاملOptimizing an Industrial Grinding Operation Under Uncertainty
Handling uncertainties for parameters in nonlinear constraints using chance constrained programming (CCP) is not as straight forward as its linear counterparts. A simulation based CCP approach which can be thought as an alternative to handle such a situation, has been adopted in this work while solving a multi-objective optimization problem of an industrial grinding operation under various para...

Grinding is an advanced machining process for the manufacturing of valuable complex and accurate parts for high added value sectors such as aerospace, wind generation, etc. Due to the extremely severe conditions inside grinding machines, critical process variables such as part surface finish or grinding wheel wear cannot be easily and cheaply measured on-line. In this paper a virtual sensor for...
